I try to get out to the Hermiage once a month for a 24 hour retreat. <br /><br />The disciplines of silence and quiet reflection/listening are not, as you pointed out, part of either our secular culture or our American Christian culture. <br /><br />Your time of solitude and quiet reflection bore good fuit.
